Sorry it's taken me so long to post these. Can't seem to find the time these days. Wonder why that could be? =) Christian met his little cousin, Hollie on Christmas. She's one month younger than him and a fiesty little one! The second they were put next to each other she was reaching for his face! It was very funny! Christian didn't know what to think of her...as you can tell in the pics. They were very adorable together and Christian already can't wait to see her again!

I loved this picture of Christian and his Daddy, but it came out REALLY blurry...so I took it into Photoshop and put the Watercolor affect on it, saturated the color and then added Sepia tone to the entire picture. Now it looks artsy, instead of blurry...artsy I can handle!!! Here is the before pic:

Second tooth has arrived!

Christian now has his two bottom teeth! I saw it first thing this morning, so it must have poked through during the night. He woke up around midnight and would NOT go back to sleep unless he was right next to me. So...to our bed he went. =) I guess he'll be sleeping next to me until all his teeth arrive?! Whatever gets us all through teething with some sleep. Top two teeth should be next.

I'm going to attempt to get a good picture of his two little toofers. We'll see!? I'll post next week if I get any decent ones.

6 Month Well Visit

We took Christian to see Dr. Huger yesterday for his 6 month well visit. He now weighs 18lbs 1oz and is 28 inches long. The doctor said he is "long and lean". No wonder he's wearing 12 month clothes already! My poor baby has a flat head. =( The back is flat from sleeping on his back 11+ hours every night. She said we'll see if it rounds out by his 9 month visit. If not, he'll have to wear a helmet for a couple of months to get it shaped up. It's actually quite common nowadays, since babies must sleep on their backs to decrease the chance of SIDS. I've tried to lay him down on his side, but he just rolls onto his back - must be comfy that way.

Other than the flat head thing, he's doing very well. She said we can start offering him pureed meats now. Whatever we're eating...chicken, beef, or even pork. It looks like he's starting to get another tooth on the bottom gum (right next to the first one). Since he seemed in pain last night I gave him a dose of Motrin and he actually slept through the night again! Yay!! Christian got a full 11 hours of uninterrupted sleep and Mommy got a full 9 hours! =) My beautiful baby boy is growing up so fast!

First Tooth!!!

How could I forget? Christian got his first tooth about a week ago! YAY!!! =) My mom was the first to notice it when he stayed with her last Monday. It's a sharp little tooth on the bottom gum. I felt around in there and can feel a little bump on the top as well. That must be why he hasn't been sleeping very well lately. He REALLY likes to sleep in bed cuddled next to Mommy!

I'm hoping that won't last long, since I have a very stiff neck these days. I tried to get a pic of the tooth, but that's very difficult to do. You can kind of see the tooth in the first pic below (if you click on it - it will enlarge). The tooth is on the bottom, just to the your left of center of his gums.

Sunday Cleaning

Paul and I decided to clean our house hardcore on Sunday. Christian kept wanting to be held - wouldn't even play in his jumperoo by himself without fussing. Well, I needed to vacuum, so guess where he went? In the Moby! This was the first time I strapped him to my back (he's usually in front). He seemed comfy and kept smiling - until he fell asleep that is. He lasted about 30 minutes before passing out. He was even snoring! Guess he liked being strapped to my back ...that is the next best thing to being attached at my hip! =) He's such a momma's boy these days!!! I can't complain ...I kinda like it! It's nice to feel needed (except at 2 in the morning) ;)
