Happy Birthday Christian!!!

Well it's official. Our baby Christian is now a toddler. He turned 1 year old last Friday, June 25th, 2010. We had a wonderful birthday weekend celebrating! Friday evening we went to Chuck E Cheese's...ate pizza & cake, opened presents, rode on rides, and played games. Christian really enjoyed the merry-go-round. I think he felt like a big kid up there all by himself! With all the tickets Paul, Eddie, and Kane won...Christian got a Chuck E Cheese t-shirt & foam hammer. Here are pics & video from Friday:

Saturday was his big party at Arnold Rec Center. We had lots of yummy food including: BBQ pulled pork, beef brisket, baked beans, mac n cheese, strawberries and cheescake fruit dip, watermelon, canteloupe, chips & french onion dip, buffalo chicken cheese dip with tortilla chips, a veggie tray, plus cupcakes and ice cream sundaes. It was all delicious!

Christian enjoyed opening all his presents with the guests. Thank you to everyone for all the lovely toys, clothes, and gift cards! He is having so much fun playing with all his new goodies. =) Here are pics & video from the festivities:

Holding Bottle

Christian is officially holding his own bottle now! He will let me "assist" him with the last bottle of the day - which is our cuddle time. But other than that, he wants to hold it himself. Very independent little man! He does a pretty good job most of the time. He is also now on 100% whole organic milk. Yay!! No more formula!!! I decided to go with organic milk because it comes from cows who never consume harmful pesticides. Cows that produce organic milk are also not subject to toxic fertilizers or synthetic hormones and antibiotics.

I also found that organic and non-organic milk have the same amount of nutrients. Organic whole milk will be the only part of Christian's diet that is organic. I will not be spending up to double on my weekly groceries for organic fruits/veggies. But since he drinks so much milk per day, this will be better for him in the long run.

1 Year Professional Pics

Well we had Christian's 1 Year Photo Shoot done at Laumeier Sculpture Park on Sunday, May 30th. I just received the cd of images and I'm in love! They look so great. Christian did such a good job smiling!!! =) I will definately be using her services in the future.

Our photographer was Jennifer L.K. Thompson Photography. She's located in St. Louis, MO. Here's her website. She is a super sweet gal and very quick in returning the cd of images to me. I also have full copyright privileges to print the images anywhere I'd like.
