The Presson Family

Christian had his 9 month pics taken outside on the grass since it's been nice outside lately. This was the first time he's ever been on grass and boy did he love it! He thought it was the coolest thing to pull grass out of the ground. And, of course he had to taste it too! Guess he thought it was pretty tasty since he kept going back for more, LOL! Such a goof! =)

Paul, Christian, Grandma Karan and I all went to visit Karan's hometown this past weekend for Easter.  She grew up in New Windsor, IL - which is a 4 hour drive from St. Louis.  We headed out Friday afternoon (leaving work early at 3pm), unfortunately we didn't get very far before Christian decided to toss his cookies all over himself and his carseat.  We stopped at Walmart and got him and the seat all cleaned up before hitting the road once again.  Poor thing was sick all weekend! =(

I wasn't sure how he would handle that long of a drive...and now I know.  NOT WELL!  Poor thing was going stir-crazy and since he threw up he was really hungry.  We stopped for dinner and made it to New Windsor around 8pm.

Saturday we hung out at the house all morning and afternoon.  Christian and his second cousin Joshua got to play and interact.  Joshua did NOT want Christian to have anything to do with his trucks - those were all his!  He's a typical 2 year old.  We had yummy berogies for lunch and went to a little pizza place for dinner called Stashu's - which is also a meat market/deli joint.  They had really good pizza and cheesy bread.  But poor Christian got sick again on the way in.  Literally as Paul was carrying him inside - he threw up all over the floor.  I was so embarrassed! Paul's shirt wasn't so lucky...and Christian had to go pantsless the rest of our meal.  I think the car ride is what made him sick.

Easter morning we went to church at 7am, then had breakfast in the basement afterwards.  Again, Christian got sick while eating puffs and bananas.  =(  I felt so bad for him.  After breakfast we packed up and headed home.  Once we arrived back in St. Louis we went to my Aunt Jackie's house for Easter dinner and to visit with my mom's side of the family.  Christian got lots of Easter goodies including: a few Easter Bunnies of various colors, eggs with money inside (thanks to Grandma Gwen), an easter basket full of bubbles, a V-Tech Lullaby book (thanks to Great-Grandma & Grandpa Kruse), Carter's clothes (thanks to Great-Grandma Schrader), a "Cars" book and toy (thanks to Aunt Jackie), a yellow "Chicks Dig Me" shirt (thanks to Grandma & Grandpa Presson) that looks so cute on him.  Plus Mommy & Daddy got him a soft & cuddly yellow ducky, a "My First Easter" bib, and a few bunny & duck books that came in a plush Easter Bunny basket.

I'd say he did pretty well for his first Easter!  Such a lucky little guy to have so many people that love and care for him!  Thanks to everyone for all the wonderful presents!  =)

Yup...that's right.  Christian is now pulling himself up to stand.  He just started this past weekend.  He also turns 9 months old tomorrow - 3/25.  Getting so big so fast!  He loves to stand on his own and can do so without falling for about 10 seconds (while still hanging onto something).  It won't be long until he's pulling himself up onto the couch.  He kept trying last night while I was sitting there watching him.  We need to get the boy a helmet...his little head is getting pretty bumped and bruised lately!  =(

But I guess that's par for the course...and boys will be boys.  Mommy just needs to get tough for him!  Here's a cute little video I captured last night.  Such a sweetie!

Now that Christian is mobile...him and Sada love love LOVE to play together.  Her little blue bunny toy is Christian's absolute favorite!  They play tug-of-war every single day.  I captured some of those moments on video.  See for yourself:

OMG I'm soooo excited!  Christian started crawling last night - 3/2/10 at 8 Months & 5 Days old.  I'm such a proud mommy!  =)  He was going for Sada's toy...which he loves to play tug of war with!  Here's a short video clip as proof!  I forgot to mention the big news to Eddie this morning when I dropped him off...and he already called Karan to let us know he's crawling all over chasing their doggies around!  HA!  Such a big boy!!!

We ventured out of the house on Sunday - since it was so nice and sunny outside.  The whole family went to Arnold Park.  Myself, Paul, Christian, and even Sada & Pepe!  The doggies didn't know what to think about all the other dogs walking around...they forgot how small they are and were barking at everyone like they were 100 lbs each!  HA! 

Christian got to swing for the very first time.  I think he was too concerned with all the other kids running around playing to realize he was swinging.  Didn't seem too thrilled.  We'll be taking him more often once it gets warmer outside...the wind was still very chilly!  But here are some pics and a little video clip for fun.  Enjoy!
