Well it's official...Christian is no longer a baby.  He's a big boy!  Happy Birthday to the sweetest toddler in the world!  Mommy & Daddy love you very much!

We had Christian's 2 year well visit today and Dr. Huger was very pleased with his progress (as usual).  He weighs 35 lbs and is 37.5" long (95th percentile for both).  He says about double the amount of words they look for in 2 year olds.  They would like to see toddlers saying around 50 words but Christian easily says 100.  He's such a smarty pants!  The best part of his visit today...no vaccines!  YAY!  He's all caught up on shots until 4 years old.  And we don't go back for another well visit until next year.  All good news!  =)

Yesterday was very scary. I have been having vision problems in my right eye for about 3 weeks now (right after my annual exam) so I went in to have it checked out. They diagnosed me with some long name ending in "retinitis" and said I needed to see a retinal specialist ASAP. Turns out I have had scar tissue on both retinas my whole life. Because of this scar tissue my eye developed extra blood vessels which have inflammed my optic nerve - causing vision loss in that eye.

They had to inject an anti-cancerous drug into my eyeball (fun stuff) and hopefully that will shrink the blood vessels and heal the optic nerve. I "might" get my lost vision back but he wasn't sure. And now I have a 25% chance of this happening again. Please pray this medicine works! I go back in a month to check the progress.

Christian and I took Daddy out for Father's Day breakfast at Cracker Barrel (his favorite)!

We had Christian's 2 Year Pro Pics taken at Oak Knoll Park in Clayton, MO on Saturday May 28th by Jennifer L.K. Thompson Photography.  He did so well and they turned out awesome!  If anyone needs a good photographer let me know!
